ALC and Breakout Lacrosse Fall Clinic Information
 
The Alexandria Lacrosse Club and Breakout Lacrosse
Fall 2008 Clinic
 
The ALC and Breakout Lacrosse Fall 2008 Clinic starts on Saturday, September 13. The sessions for boys and girls will be on Saturdays.
 
Breakout Lacrosse staff consists of former college players with recent high school coaching and youth camp instructor experience.
  • Matt Breslin - HS All American; New Jersey Goalie and player of the year 1997; Captain, Duke Lacrosse team 2001; Division I All American; MLL Goalie of the Year, 2002.
  • J.L. Reppert – Captain and four year starter at US Navel Academy
  • Jamie Breslin – Captain of Hobart Lacrosse Team 2001; Division I All American; Hobart All Time Leading Scorer.
  • Stef Sparks – Four year starter, Duke Women’s Lacrosse Team; Duke University Team Captain 2004 and 2005; Assistant Coach, Dukes Women’s Lacrosse Team 2007; Assistant Coach, Georgetown Women’s Lacrosse Team 2008.
 Clinic Structure and Special Sessions
  • The clinics cover skill development coupled with game-based drills.
  • Special Coaching Session – Ricky Fried, Georgetown Head Coach
  • Separate small group sessions for goalies are planned for each week.

I.          PARTICIPANTS:    
The fall series is open to children with birth years from 1994 through 2002. This includes children new to the game of lacrosse as well as active ALC members. The fall series is an opportunity to try the sport for a new player or sharpen skills for the experienced player.

III.        REGISTRATION DATES:
Participants must register by email before midnight, September 7.
Registrations after September 7 accepted on a space available basis.

IV.       REGISTRATION PROCESS:

Email Needs to Include:
  1. Name of player (s)
  2. Gender of each player
  3. Birth year of each player
  4. Program the player wants to participate in. (U9, U11, U13 or U15)
  5. Number of seasons playing. Zero means the child is new to the sport. This can be an estimate for experienced players.
  6. Contact Phone Number
  7. Contact Name
All participants must enroll by email. Registration forms and fees collected at the clinic. You DO NOT need the forms to register the player.

Scholarships are available!
No one will be turned away. Scholarship information can be obtained by contacting ALC by email to alexandrialacrosseclub@comcast.net
 
Bring a Friend Discount:
ALC members who bring a friend to the clinic to try lacrosse for the first time receive a $10 discount off the Clinic fee. The friend must be a resident of the City of Alexandria.
 
VI.       REGISTRATION FORMS:
The registration form is on the club web site under the Recent News sidebar. You DO NOT need the forms to register the player. Send the email with the required information and bring the form and payment to the first clinic that the player attends.
 
VII.      ALC GEAR SALES - NEW STUFF IN TIME FOR THE HOLIDAYS!
Save space in your holiday budget for gifts of ALC gear.
ALC is having gear sales during several of the clinic sessions.
We are taking jacket orders with delivery in time for the holidays.
Our expanded product line includes sweatshirts and shorts.
We will also have hats, T-shirts and water bottles.
