Welcome to the ALC Spring Season!
We are so excited to kick off another great season! Before we get started, here are a few important things to know. Please read all the way through.
Communication: Otto Sport App
Northern Virginia Youth Lacrosse League (NVYLL) uses the Otto Sport app. Whether or not your coach uses it for communication is up to them, but all practice and game schedules will be posted in the app β so make sure you're set up!
Game Schedule
March 21st β May 10th, typically, boys play on Saturday and girls play on Sunday. May 16th/17th is playoff weekend.
- No games the weekend of April 4th/5th
- NVYLL will load the official schedule the week of March 18th (historically this is done late in the week)
- Coaches and families will see the game schedule in OttoSport at the same time, so please bear with us as we all await the details!
If spring break travel affects your availability in the early weeks, just give your coach a heads up.
Uniforms
Girls: Players will be issued a skirt, jersey, and practice pinnie at practice. These items must be returned to your coach at the end of the season. Girls keep their t-shirt.
Boys: Uniforms will be distributed at practice the week of March 16th, right in time for the first game. Jerseys and practice pinnies must be returned after the last game. Boys keep their shorts and t-shirt.

Parent Conduct
To ensure a positive experience in our youth league, please keep these guidelines in mind:
- Encourage Sportsmanship: Promote respect for coaches, officials, and players, regardless of the outcome. We are all human, and mistakes will be made.
- Support Your Child: Focus on your child's enjoyment and development rather than solely on winning. Praise effort, not results β no scholarships will be awarded at the end of the season.
- Communicate Positively: Use encouraging language for all players during games and practices to foster a supportive environment.
- Respect Coaches' Decisions: Trust the coaches' expertise and avoid coaching from the sidelines. If you want to coach, the commissioners will happily add you to the roster.
- Be a Role Model: Demonstrate good behavior and sportsmanship toward refs, coaches, and opposing teams β children often emulate their parents' actions.
Here's to a Great Spring!
We are looking forward to this season β the skill-building, the love of the game, the friendships made, and the confidence grown on and off the field. Let's have a fun-filled spring together.
